The Meaning of Sewa
Sewa is not work done for God. It is the natural movement of a heart that has begun to love.

In the temple, sewa has a very ordinary face. Someone sweeps the courtyard before sunrise. Someone strings flowers for the morning shringar. Someone stands at the door and hands out prasad until the last visitor has left. None of this looks like spirituality from the outside.
But Maharaj Ji often reminds us that sewa is not a task we perform for Shri Krishn. It is what love does when it has nowhere else to go. The gopis did not serve Krishn because it was their duty. They served because their hearts could not sit still.
Vyas Ji once bandaged Thakur Ji's finger after a mishap with his flute, as one would for a child. That is the whole of sewa: not grandeur, but attention.
If you would like to offer sewa at the temple, whether for a day or for a season, please reach out to us on WhatsApp. There is always a place for willing hands.
