Getting to the temple

Old Vrindavan is compact: the temple stands at Vyas Ghera beside Sewa Kunj, a short walk from the town's best-known temples.

Getting here

  • By train

Mathura Junction, on the Delhi–Agra main line, is about 14 km away. Taxis, autos and e-rickshaws run to Vrindavan all day.

  • By air

Delhi (Indira Gandhi International) is the nearest major airport, roughly 150 km away: about three hours by road on the Yamuna Expressway.

  • By road

From Delhi take the Yamuna Expressway to the Mathura–Vrindavan exit. From Agra, about 70 km, the drive takes under two hours. Cars stop at the parikrama road; the last stretch through the old lanes is on foot or by e-rickshaw.

Good to know

  • Footwear is left at the entrance, as in every temple of Braj.
  • Please dress modestly, with shoulders and knees covered.
  • The temple closes between the morning and evening darshan. Festival timings differ, so do check on WhatsApp before a special day.
  • Please ask before photographing inside the temple.
  • Prasad is distributed after the raj bhog. On festival days there is a bhandara for all.
  • Kartik (October–November) and the Holi weeks (February–March) are the busiest and most beautiful times to visit. Summers are very hot; winter mornings are cold.
